How To Initiate Your Property Damage Claim

The most important part of the Property Claims Process is the negotiation between your contractor and the Insurance Claims Adjuster.

  • Call and notify your insurance company of the wind or hail damage to your home from the ____________ Storm. It's best to deal directly with the corporate claims department through their 24 hour 1-800 number. This number can be found on your insurance policy paperwork or monthly billing statement.
  • It is very important that you tell your insurance company that a representative from Progressive Roofing has been to your home and inspected your property for damage.You will then be given a claim number. Please be sure to write this down and relay this info to your Progressive Roofing Rep. You should be contacted within a few days by an adjuster to schedule an appointment to come out and inspect your home.
  • Your insurance/adjuster needs to know that you would like me present during their adjustment. Give them your Reps cell number and ask that the adjuster call me directly to set up the appointment. It's not necessary for you to be present at the time of inspection unless you choose to be or there are interior damages to be addressed. 
  • The cost of repairs will be negotiated at the time of inspection through estimate negotioiation. This is important so that we can eliminate your out of pocket to only your deductable.
